Planning For All

The HRTPO aims to engage in thoughtful and intentional planning that considers the current and future needs of the communities that will ultimately be impacted by planning decisions. To accomplish this, the HRTPO is

  • Continually reviewing and improving public involvement efforts to try and engage people in a meaningful and accessible planning process
  • Engaging with other planners and stakeholders to incorporate the latest best practices
  • Incorporating the considerations related to transportation and socially vulnerable populations into the planning process

How to Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved and provide input into the decision-making process - including attending HRPDC/HRTPO and Advisory Committee meetings, receiving newsletters and notices through our mailing list or email list, responding to surveys, and participating in workshops and special events held throughout the year by the HRPDC/HRTPO and its planning partners.
