Citizen Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC)

The Citizen Transportation Advisory Committee serves as an advisory committee to the HRTPO Board. Established in 2010, this committee gives the citizens of our region, a unique opportunity to help guide the transportation planning process and to lend a citizen’s lens through which our process can be viewed.

CTAC meetings occur 4 times per year and are comprised of citizen representatives of each locality in Hampton Roads.  As with all HRTPO committee meetings, CTAC meetings are open to the public and as such, the first moments of each meeting are devoted to a public comment period wherein any member of the public, can share any thoughts and perspective on regional transportation.

The CTAC ensures that the voices and perspectives of the public are received by the TPO and considered in our transportation planning process.

There are 30 available seats on the CTAC. If you are interested in representing your community and would like to view CTAC vacancies’ or, if you would like to view information regarding CTAC by-laws, meeting dates, archives, and membership see the links below.
